The $100,000 winning gelding Calcavado, who was bred, raised and sold by Benstud Standardbreds, chalked up his 17th success at Globe Derby Park on Tuesday (September 10).
After sitting at the tail of the four-horse field, the nine-year-old quickly rounded up his rivals to score by more than a length.
He tramped his last 800 in 58.4.
Calcavado is the richest progeny of Rebekah NZ, who has left four sub 2:00 performers from five foals to race.
