She Envy tops $50,000 mark
Tough five-year-old She Envy, who was bred and is owned by Benstud Standardbreds, took her stake earnings to beyond $50,000 and earned a new speed badge of 1:55.8 over 2150 metres at Bendigo on Thursday night (December 20).
Trapped three deep early and forced to race without cover thereafter, the brown mare exploded to the front at the 500 metre mark and quickly put a gap between herself and her rivals.
She won by 10.8 metres.
She clocked her last 800 in 56.8.
The winner of nine races, She Envy is out of the good racemare Hectic NZ 1:56.7 ($97,745) and is her first foal.
