Promising four-year-old Raffas Ace, who was bred at Benstud Standardbreds for client Gerard Moloney, broke maiden ranks impressively at Cranbourne on Sunday night (September 8).
Starting from the pole, the gelding pinged straight to the front and was never in danger, winning by 16.6 metres.
The time for the mile was 2:01.3 with the last half in 58.8.
Raffas Ace is the fifth foal and fourth winner out of Henin Hardenne NZ, whose progeny includes the flying The Culture (1:51.6).
