Hat trick for Tiger
Promising three-year-old Sahara Tiger, who was bred and raised at Benstud Standardbreds, completed a winning hat trick when he overwhelmed older, more experienced rivals at the Warragul Cup meeting on Sunday (April 21).
The gelding rated 1:59.4 over the 1790 metre trip with the last 800 in a slick 56.
It was his fifth win from nine starts this season and his sixth from 15 lifetime appearances.
Out of the 1:54 mare Sahara Miss, Sahara Tiger was bred and is part-owned by clients Peter Watkinson and Bruce Paul.
Sahara Miss has left four foals of racing age for four winners, all inside 2:00.
