Fire Up Franco on fire!

Fire Up Franco on fire!

Fire Up Franco, who was bred and reared at Benstud Standardbreds, came from last to post his 12th win in a Country Clubs Cup heat at Geelong on Wednesday (April 24).

Weaving a passage through the field in the back straight, the black gelding was angled five wide on the home turn and produced a stomping run to prevail in the last stride.

The mile rate for the 2100 metres was 1:57.3.

The winner of over $75,000, Fire Up Franco was bred by long-time Benstud client Harvey Kaplan.

The gelding is the third foal and second winner of Tishafly Franco NZ, a Falcon Seelster mare.
