Classic win for Vena May
Talented filly Vena May, who was bred and raised by Benstud Standardbreds, notched her important success to date when she divebombed her rivals in the Argent 3YO Classic at Melton on Saturday night (May 18).
Given a perfect trip by David Moran, the filly was tipped three-wide on the home turn and arrived in the last bound.
The mile rate for the 2240 metres was 1:57.2 with the last 800 in a slick 56.9.
Vena May has won four races and $45,370 in stakes
Vena May, the third foal and third winner of the $125,000 winning mare Tara Royale NZ, is raced by Rod Booker and the Kelly family.
