Classic for Centenario
Brilliant youngster Centenario, bred and raised by Benstud Standardbreds, extended his unbeaten winning sequence to three when he captured the $20,000 Shakamaker Classic at Melton on Thursday night (March 29).
Starting from the outside gate, the colt worked forward to sit parked for the last 11oo metres.
After exploding to the front half-way down the straight, Centenario held on gamely to win by a neck.
The mile rate for the 1720 metres was 1:56.3.
He clocked the final 800 in 56 in the open!
