Brilliant youngster Centenario who was bred, raised and sold as a yearling by Benstud Standardbreds, notched his most important success to date when he took out the Group 1 $350,000 Australian Pacing Gold Final at Melton on Saturday night (May 5).
Centenario, who realised $115,000 at the Melbourne APG sale, took his earnings to $174,800 with his emphatic end-to-end success.
The colt rated 1:55.8 over 1720 metres with the last 800 in 57 and 400 in 27.5.
He is unbeaten in five attempts.
Centenario is the third live foal of Beninjurd, an unraced Art Major mare who earlier left Somedan (1:56.6).
